タイ中央銀行は2023年9月27日に政策金利を0.25ポイント引き上げ、10年ぶりの高水準の2.5%に決定した。
これは8回連続の利上げで、2022年8月以来200ポイントの引き上げとなる。
中央銀行はインフレを抑制し、経済の持続的な成長を支援するために政策を引き締めている。
しかし、9月29日には中央銀行の総裁が、当面は利上げを停止し、金利を中立水準で維持することが適切だとの認識を示した。
